Pay-to-rank app leaderboards, compared

Checked on 2026-08-21

A group of boards appeared within days of each other where the only way to move up is to pay more than the listing above you. Several take mobile apps. This is what each one accepts and how they differ.

We run one of them, which is stated in the table rather than hidden. Everything else here is a fact you can check by opening the site.

The boards

BoardTakesNotes
outbidmyapp.com this board iOS, Android, websites $1 minimum. Every amount is published, the board launched empty and carries no seeded rows, and listings show store copy only — bidders never write text.
outapp.lol iOS and Android, on separate boards Keeps a separate board per platform and shows a click count per listing. The board is painted in JavaScript, so the listings are not in the page source.
shitapp.lol Apps and websites Pulls icon, name and description from an App Store link. Ties go to whoever paid first, the same rule used here.
topapp.lol App Store apps Highest bidder takes the top. The homepage renders roughly thirty characters of text, so there is little for a search engine to read.
appbid.lol Mobile apps Bids stack onto an existing total. The board loads after the page, in JavaScript.
topbids.lol Anything with a URL Not app-specific: websites and apps share one board.

What they all share

Position is the amount paid, and nothing else moves it. There is no algorithm, no editorial choice and no voting. Most settle equal amounts in favour of whoever got there first.

None of them will get your app downloaded, and a board that promises otherwise is making a claim its own click counts can refute. Treat these as leaderboards.

Where they differ

What counts as a listing. Some take only App Store apps, some take Android as well, and some take any URL at all. A board that mixes websites and apps ranks them against each other.

Whether a rival can list your app. On boards that pull copy from the store, anyone can list anyone — which is exactly why the copy has to come from the store rather than from the bidder. A board that lets a bidder write the text lets a stranger caption your product.

Whether the page can be read. Several of these boards render their listings in JavaScript, so the listings do not appear in the page source at all.

How this board works

$1 minimum. Pay more than the listing above you and you pass it; equal totals go to the older listing. Rank is derived from the amounts and is never stored, so the board can move while a payment is in flight and the site says so rather than implying a position was bought.

It launched empty and carries no seeded, demonstration or placeholder rows. Listings show store copy only. The full rules are on the rules page, and the board itself is here.
